Our pork is supplied just down the road from us in Bardney, Lincolnshire, by John Alford and his father Stan. At 82, Stan still works every day, helping John to grow happy pigs in large barns with deep straw beds. ‘I’d like to think I know a bit about pigs now’ says Stan.
John produces pork for roasts, hams, bacon, sausages and pies. The pork is produced with light cover of fat which we consider to be essential for good eating quality - especially for crispy crunchy crackling.
