Rick Stein's Food Heroes

"Food Hero"
F.C. Phipps was chosen as a "Food Hero" to appear on Rick Stein's BBC2 television series.

"The series highlights small producers, rearing rare or traditional breeds, with an emphasis on traceability, i.e. information which accompanies the product on where it came from and how and when it was produced and slaughtered, the latter hopefully using local abattoirs (F.C. Phipps has it's own abbattoir). Free-range animals that are slowly matured, without growth promoters, fed on natural feed and hung properly on the bone, produce the best flavour."
